When Tesco required a complete refurbishment of their Chester Superstore car park, RLB instructed Mulberry to deliver a value engineered waterproofing system that increased drainage capacity and
structural integrity.
With access to the site restricted, Mulberry provided a full time traffic management team to ensure the smooth running of the project and the stores delivery schedule. The car park needed to be kept open
throughout the duration of the works and Mulberry worked in sections to keep access to parking available.
Mulberry designed and fabricated a bespoke drainage system to alleviate issues that had previously caused flooding during heavy rainstorms. The exit ramp was widened to reduce the risk of vehicular accidents and the previously installed soft movement joints were replaced with Mulberry’s proprietary SL190 movement joints to provide long term structural integrity.
The car park was waterproofed with the OS10 system from Westwood
Liquid Technologies.
